Virtual highfive1/2/2024 Please make sure to write "PACE HIGH 5" in the notes section of your donation for tracking purposes.Ģ. Donate the amount personally, or fundraise and make a one time donation under your name through the CMHA Kelowna website. All fundraising efforts are deeply appreciated and for fun, we have created a prize category for the individual who raises the most!ġ. Along with accomplishing the vertical challenge, participants are required to raise a minimum of $50 to qualify as an official finisher, record their results and qualify for prizing. There is a minimum $50 fundraising component to each entry and this must be complete before the race starts on March 1st. By participating in PACE High Five, participants have the opportunity to celebrate the gift of running and give back to those in need. As runners, we know how important it is to connect with nature, get outside and blaze the trails to help support our own mental health. CMHA facilitates access to the resources people require to maintain and improve mental health and community integration, build resilience, and support recovery from mental illness. PACE High Five support the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA). To day, PACE Trail Runs has helped raise over $84,600. Each race in our series donates a portion of the entry fees to local charity, as well we host 2-3 runs per year which focus 100% of the fundraising on charity and brings people together in a special way to share adventure and the passion to make a difference. Doing both feels GREAT!" and we have been giving back to charities and trail building associations ever since. In 2012 we adapted this motto: "Running feels good. Participants can also use PACE HIGH 5, as part of the Quadzilla challenge in 2022. Taking 7 days to complete this challenge means committing to just over 700m per day or paricipants can shorten the duration and increase the daily vertical. We also wanted to choose a month that would have huge pay off's for the upcoming race and/or mountain adventure season. We wanted to bring PH5 back to ensure folks have something fun, yet challening to keep them motivated during the winter. The goal is to hit 5,000m in 7 consecutive days or less. You get to build 5,000m the way you want. Participants can also combine any of these disciplines to earn their elevation. We have moved PH5 to the month of March, however we think the most exciting change that we have made to PACE High 5 is a NEW MULTI SPORT option that is can be done on snowshoes, backcountry skis, nordic skis bikes or running. The amazing community spirt, the milestones reached and the motivation everyone spread throughout the land was so positive that we have decided to bring it back again in 2022. PACE HIGH5 was an event that we originally introduced during the pandemic to help runners stay motivated and connected during "virtual times." As it turned out, it became something very special to us.
